Multidisciplinary contemporary British/Irish artist Emma Carey Baxendale has been selected as The Supper Club’s honourary artist during Art Basel Miami 2023 at Fabel Miami.
The Supper Club Art Basel Decompression Brunch on December 10th will commence with an intimate round-table artist discussion and curated Q&A between Emma Carey Baxendale and Illustrator & Designer Stephen Bliss and Graffiti Artist Pedro Amos, moderated by Louisa St. Pierre, Global Art Director at MA+ Group. Carey Baxendale will then discuss her art journey, along with previous honourary artists during an open mic session with VIP guests.
Executive Chef Ian Fleischmann will then host a Mediterranean-inspired dinner alongside Carey Baxendale to inspire cross-pollinating dialogues among creatives. Guests will receive one of Baxendale’s limited edition signed artwork. Carey Baxendale’s Fauvism artwork will be displayed at Fabel Miami throughout Art Basel Miami.
Carey Baxendale said: “I am delighted to be selected by the Supper club and also the only British artist to be honoured this year. I feel there is a change of direction slowly happening in the art world for women. I am determined to break through the current top 10 male artists internationally and represent women in art”.
Two further works “Colour Therapy,” an immersive canvas inducing a meditative state, and “The Next Chapter,” a striking homage to Picasso symbolising life’s evolutions, have been selected by the board of AGI Fine Arts and will be shown at Red Dot Miami (December 6th - 10th).
Emma’s UK representatives ArtIn said “We are delighted that Emma has been chosen as the Supper Club’s honourary artist and also by the board of AGI Fine Arts. With interest rapidly growing in her work from renowned names, major institutions, and private collectors worldwide, this spotlight on her work during Art Basel Miami is further evidence of her rapid trajectory and success on the international art scene”.
